Usshmaa is not a hotel that planted trees. It is four acres of working orchard that, after the second generation, made room for 42 rooms.

The story

second generations, one slope.

My Father has farmed this hillside since 2015

In 2017, my father laid the foundation stone for The Himalayan Orchard Wellness Retreats, with the vision of “सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः”—May all beings be happy and well. It was delayed due to Covid-19.

Orchard and Rooms are both designed with a combination of traditional ethics and modern principles and requirements.

Sustainability

The mountain and Nature was here first.

Eighty-one percent of our energy is solar. Every drop of rain that falls on the estate is kept. No single-use plastic has entered the property since we opened, and the kitchen composts back into the rows within three weeks.
